When it comes to fashion, Miami is at the top of the list. Every week we have a different fashion shindig. This week it's funkshion fashion week and the big kick off happened at the Paris Theatre on South Beach where Deco's Ellie Rodriguez was front and center in tonight's Style Files.
Paris got a little taste of Latin flava. At the Magia de la Moda fashion show, when models filled the catwalk with clothes from Latin American designers.
Marines Duarte: "We have designers from Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia. Allot from Venezuela actually and they represent Miami as well."
Some designers went black to basic, while others found themselves in a gray area.
Marines Duarte: "We used to think that gray was boring, but not any more. We are using allot of gray, black of course, it's a must. Then close sequence allot of metals, shiny, shiny, shiny."
But the metals didn't outshine the classics.
Marines Duarte: "Still we keep the classic look breakfast at Tiffany, the hats, color purple is a must."
So what's a must for Miami?
Marines Duarte: "Believe it or not we're wearing gloves in Miami. Gloves, boots, sweaters, a lot of leather."
Wearing all that you could be too hot in this already hot city.
