Watching "This Is It" was a once-in-a-lifetime theatrical experience. Until now the behind-the-scenes look at Michael Jackson's rehearsals for his scheduled string of London concerts is out on DVD.
The man responsible for going through one hundred hours of film and turning it into "This Is It" is director kenny ortega he knew who all his hard work was for...
KENNY ORTEGA: "For me it was important that we shared michael's ideas with his fans who were so frustrated and so tragic-stricken you know when michael died and this was our opportunity to be able to share you know his last creative moments with the people that loved him the most."
Ortegas says it was tough to work on the documentary so soon after Michael's death but there was an up side, too...
KENNY ORTEGA: "It was wonderful to be in a room and to have michael there and to be reminded of the incredible glorious process that we went through together."
That process included dancing singing and taking his show to new heights so if you've seen "this is it" on the big screen, is it worth the money to buy it and bring it home? No doubt about it...
KENNY ORTEGA: "There's more here you know and this is the last of it on the blu-ray you've got two short films featurettes "thriller" and "smooth criminal more in-depth with michael more of the collaborative process the auditions there's a lot more material there."
Let's leave the final comment to the star of the show.
