The Lovely Bones

"The Lovely Bones" may have come in third at the box office, but it's first in the hearts of just about everyone who's seen it it's a story of love, and loss.

"The lovely bones" is the story of a young girl robbed of her

SAOIRSE RONAN: "I didn't understand her as soon as I started to play her, as I went on, I did. Discovered who she was who she was meant to be, and she became a part of me."

Saoirse ronan continues to tackle roles beyond her years, and plays the murdered susie salmon, who tells the story from "the inbetween"  surreal world somewhere between earth and heaven.

Rose mciver is the sister who can't rest, and one of the best scenes in the film is when she takes matters into her own hands and rachel weiss a mother..

Who needs help holding it together.

RACHEL WEISZ:: "I would hope if that happened to me I would and heroic but sometimes you can't."

"the lovely bones" is set in the 70s, long before sex-offender registries and amber alerts.

The film isn't as graphic as the book, or as detailed but the suspense will get your heart racing -- and the tragedy will have you reaching for your kleenex.
