The Moca

Watch the video. Watch the video

When the museum's a rockin, it's time to come a knockin. One of the coolest soflo attractions, The Moca, is giving everyone a chance to face the music.

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami is rockin out these days with their sympathy for the devil art exhibit, stemming from the classic rolling stones album.

RUBA KATRIB: "I think the Rolling Stones really embody the rock and roll energy of the late 60's, early 70's into the present, so I think that's probably why Dominic was drawn to that title."

But don't think of this as a Hard Rock Cafe full of memorabilia. Instead, the exhibit explores the relationship between art and rock and roll.

RUBA KATRIB: "They're all artists who collaborate with musicians or make music themselves, or creating a situation in which music can kinda come through."

Look out for references to neil young, the birds, velvet underground, and even a time line of rock and roll.

And check out this floor covered in old records. The idea is to represent how the days of tangible music are long gone, but my fave is this see-through recording studio where anyone can experience the act of making music, and we mean anyone.

So, no matter what you think, the exhibit is designed to at least give us something to think about.

RUBA KATRIB: "You can interact, you can watch videos, you can be stimulated, you can be entertained, but there's also a lot to learn and that's also available."
