Mayday, Mayday. That's the name of Miami's hottest new group making it big in the music biz.
BERN MAYDAY: "At the time it was just kinda a distressed signal for us, it just kinda fit for us in terms of where we were in our lives, and then it just kinda caught on and eventually grew into everything you see here."
With a sound all their own, the band considers they're creating tomorrow's music today. And their new single, technology, is proving just that.
And thanks to a growing music and art scene in miami, mayday is finding plenty of inspiration right at home.
GIANNI CASH: "Well there's art, it's growing, you see we have the art district. The clubs down here in Miami, the food, the restaurants, the beach."
The guys are becoming so popular, they also have a new famous fan. Mayday recently spent some time jamming out with lil wayne for his music video "She's On Fire."
GIANNI CASH: "He got a hold of our stuff and really liked the way he vibed out. We ended up coming in, making it happen, and then on set is where we all kinda really started to vibe out and he started to freestyle with us."
We have a feeling your phone is gonna be ringing off the hook, guys. Don't forget the little people.
