Hold your horses! It's man meets nature in Cavalia, a world-renowned equestrian spectacular at Bicentennial Park In Miami.
NORMAND LATOURELLE: "The thing was we didn't have any existing word to describe what was the show, so we decided to invent the word for an inventive concept, so we came up with cavalia."
Normand co-founded Cirque De Soleil and first brought it to South Florida over twenty years ago, and although Cavalia is not cirque, it too will take your breath away.
NORMAND LATOURELLE: "The audience is going to be amazed as much as they were when they've seen Cirque de Soleil, but it's a new type of show."
So Deco went behind the scenes to get up close and personal with the real stars of the show, the horses. When it's showtime, the stage becomes a playground for acrobatics, live music and a cast of over 60 horses from all over the world.
NORMAND LATOURELLE: "We import horses from Spain, Portugal, France, Canada and United States. We have one from Argentina."
And let's just say these four-legged performers don't travel light.
NORMAND LATOURELLE: "When we do great distance, we charter a Boeing 747 just for the horses. They all go, all 65 of them, in one plane."
That's gonna make for a heck of a line at customs but the real crowd will be those who gather under the big top to experience the magic of cavalia.
NORMAND LATOURELLE: :These horses are ridden, but half of the show, the horses are totally free on stage and they just come and they have fun, and they have fun with their trainer."
