Key Lime Pie Shake
It's summer, it's hot, and you're thirsty if you're looking for something to shake up this heat, we've got just the thing. A Florida treat is going from the box to the blender, Deco's Ellie Rodriguez shows us where to sip up summer.
Nothing says summertime like key lime pie, but for a taste of Florida, you don't need to head to the Keys. Instead, go to Bob Roth's New River Groves in Davie.
LISA ROTH: "We offer the best key lime pies, we have Terry's famous key lime pies. We've been here for over 45 years making my mom's pies for 35 years."
So the South Florida staple is mixing things up and turning their key lime pie into a key lime pie shake.
LISA ROTH: "We just thought that would be a great idea. Let's put our key lime into the blender, you know, turn it on, shake it up and see what it tastes like."
Start off with two scoops of key lime filling, a little milk, ice, and....
Warning- the whipped topping and graham cracker crumbs make this drink highly addictive!
And how's this for a tropical twist--they've also got a key lime orange, key lime strawberry and key lime mango shake!
LISA ROTH: "We had an abundance of mango's so we thought, let's just throw them in the blender with our key lime pie shake."
