The season eight finalists aren't the only ones hitting the stage Taylor Hicks, remember him, is also performing in South Florida thru Sunday. Deco's Ellie Rodriguez tells us why he's still the one that we want.
It's been three years since Taylor Hicks walked away an Idol winner.
TAYLOR HICKS: "Well, as much touring and traveling and performing as I've done, it does feel like yesterday. That's a good thing, with all the work and some of the ventures I've been able to take on, it's been fun."
Taylor's latest venture is bringing him to the Broward Center for a new kind of summer lovin'.
Ace Young did it, and now Taylor's getting greased up. He's taking on the role of teen angel in the hit musical grease. You know, beauty school dropout.
TAYLOR HICKS: "I think it's fun for myself and also for the fans, to take new routes in entertainment, and one of these routes right now is the broadway show. This was a good way for me to, uh, kinda be introduced into acting and musical theater. Very small, but very over the top part that everybody loves."
Who doesn't love this show!? We've seen the movie like a million times. How else would we know this.
This might only be the beginning of taylor's career as an actor. He already played the part on broadway but admits he still gets stage fright.
TAYLOR HICKS: "Being on Broadway and having to act a little bit was something that was completely foreign to me."

TAYLOR HICKS: "4 judges, I don't think they need 5."
As for whether or not Paula will be back next season. As for taylor, he's still quite the showstopper.
