Tonight we're featuring two almost famous friends for the price of one. These guys are on their way to making it big in Hollywood, but their first stop on the road to fame is right here in South Florida. Eeco's Ellie Rodriguez tells us about the lights, the cameras and the action.
Get ready to see the hip-hop industry like never before. Miami film maker Justin Marx is making his mark in the movie biz with his latest Indie film know the enemy.
The movie available on DVD is about a rising hip-hop star making his way through the Miami music scene.
JUSTIN MARX: "A lot of people say, you know, you guys are white guys making a movie about the hip hop industry. What do you know? And really this has nothing to do with color or anything, it's really and that's what we want to bring to the whole community is like, this is not how it has to be."
So to add some authentic flare to the project, Justin cast Miami's own Marlon Taylor as Razor Ric.
Marlon's a local radio host who's used to hitting up the South Florida party scene, so the part was music to his ears.
MARLON TAYLOR: "We come from this way of life, we live it, and they had the vision, so we put it together and we improved just a little bit, not too much. We stayed on script, but we added more of a realism, like more reality to what they're saying."
As for the rest of the cast and crew, everyone working on the film was from Miami, and since the entire movie was also shot in South Florida, expect to see some familiar hot spots popping up.
Thanks for making this city even hotter, guys.
