Seven's Idol Audition

Guys, what a day. Seven finalists auditioned, but only one will win a chance to fly to Orlando, skip the lines and audition for Idol Producers next week, but today they had to face our judges.

They're singing for the chance of a lifetime.

It was lucky Sevens all around when seven finalists came to the Seven studios for our "Seven's Idol Audition" competition.

Ellie: "How long have you been preparing for something like this?

STEPHANIE PAIGE BALL: "All my life, I've been waiting for a great opportunity like this, and I'm glad Channel 7 actually provided it for me."
 
First a quick pep talk from contestant guru nancy daly. 

NANCY DALY: "We are so excited to have you here, and hope you have as much fun as we have had and will have today."

Then it was time to tour the grand Channel 7 studios. 

CHRISTIE PRADES: "I actually couldn't speak, I was outside and I was like 'so this is where we watch tv. This is where it all happens.  The magic happens in this building."

Also lurking in the building--our judges:

Gospel queen Marielle Epps, KC of "KC and the Sunshine Band," Deco superstar Lynn Martinez and that other guy.

Nerves were high.

CARLOS BOWERS: "I'm nervous cuz I love it, and everything you love, you always feel nerves when you love something."
 
First, a quick warm-up but there's nothing like a good Michael Jackson tune to get you in the mood.

Some practiced their future acceptance speeches but for one contestant, this turned into a different audition, sort of... 

All right then, show us what you got finally, the time had come to face our judges. 

Then, it was time to face the music. Who knows South Florida, you could be listening to a future American Idol. Only time will tell.
