This week's three new releases are all about the imagination watch as imaginary friends come to life a master animator re-imagines, a classic and the end of the world is imagined.

The mayan calendar predicts the world will end in a little over two years from now got that? Then you know the plot of "2012" what that ancient civilization would've thought of John Cusack's performance or the over-the-top special effects is anybody's guess.

It's good to be king or is it? Maurice Sendak's classic kids' story, "Where The Wild Things Are," tells the story of young Max he runs away from home and winds up ruler of a fractured family of fuzzy creatures, but he finds out being top dog isn't all it's cracked up to be.

"Ponyo" is the latest work of animated art from legendary japanese film maker high-yo mee-yah-zahk--ee. You might know him as the creator of "Spirited Away." The 2002 Academy Award winner for best animated feature "Ponyo" is the director's take on "The Little Mermaid" there's no singing lobster in this one, but you'll love it just the same that's a wrap for this week's new releases.
